Nice day doing nothing.. Lovely dinner!!

Today I have done nothing except pop to the shop and back and it has been lovely just chilling indoors watching some tv and browsing the web for recipes, I always find myself doing this when I have time on my hands.. I have about 200 bookmarked blogs and recipe websites on my laptop! In fact whilst browsing this is where I found my dinner for tonight, as I still do not have my cooker connected I thought I would search for some microwave recipes which were suitable for weightwatchers and found one that is perfect for me as it uses tortilla wraps… which as everyone who reads my blog will have worked out by now that I am slightly addicted to 😉  Recipe is here at  http://www.weightwatchers.com/util/art/index_art.aspx?tabnum=1&art_id=78521&sc=3022

It’s called a Quesadilla.. Ooohhh exotic I hear you say! I changed the recipe slightly to my tastes and to make it a bit more filling here’s the recipe I made:

Ingredients:
2 weightwatchers tortilla wraps 5pp
25g low low red pepper and chilli cheese spread 1pp
1 mini pepper sliced 0pp
1 medium mushroom sliced 0pp
45g hot tomato salsa 0pp
50g Bernard matthews tikka turkey 1pp
25g Co-op reduced fat grated cheddar 2pp
 
Method:
Spread 1 wrap with the low low cheese spread, then the other with the salsa. Add the sliced vegetables and turkey too the one with the salsa on and then add the grated cheese last, season to taste then place the other tortilla on top of it and microwave for 1 minute on high. Voila a lovely filling Quesadilla in minimal amount of time and only 9pp! 
 
So my menu today was: 
 
Breakfast: A banana and frozen mixed berry smoothie made with 200ml skimmed milk 2pp, Topped with a sprinkling of hot chocolate 0pp.
 
Lunch: weightwatchers tortilla wrap 3pp, 50g Quorn ham style slices 2pp, 1 dairy lea light cheese triangle 1pp,  Mini pepper sliced 0pp, 15g Light salad cream 1pp. 
 
Dinner: Home made Quesadilla 9pp (Recipe above)
With the cheese spread on 1, Salsa on the other.With everything on, ready to top with other tortilla.
 
Snacks: Tesco caramella sundae 4pp

So total used 22/26pp 
 
Weigh in tomorrow am expecting a gain or a stay the same at least.. I have done nothing different this week apart from use my weeklies later in the week and do more exercise , which you would think was a good thing :/ Anyhow the scales have not been looking kind the last few days but this is something of a routine for me I seem to have a couple of good losses, then either a sts/gain so I am not too worried I know I have eaten well and sometimes the body just does thing like this to us! No weekly pro points=More control + A little beauty!

I have come to the realisation to day that having no weekly pro points left to use, means I have more control over my food.. As on the weekend I pretty much usually just use them all. However this week I didn’t and it has made me feel like my hunger is out of my own control more than once this week, which I don’t like one bit! 
Last night after my walk I was ravenous and ended up having two wraps instead of one plus 3.. Yes that says 3 packets of crisps and 2 Maria biscuits!! End result.. All of my weeklies gone bar 2, I was feeling depressed and guilty that I had let my self control slip but today when I woke up I felt more in control knowing I only had my dailies to use and therefore have felt happier and more in control today.. Funny what little tricks your mind can play isn’t it?! 
Today has been a fantastic day in the sunshine.. 😀 While Chris was in the gym I went into town to pick up a couple of bits for Letitia’s first day back at school tomorrow and something for dinner tonight, I also picked up a really great card for Chris’ Birthday in a couple of weeks, He’s going  to love it! After meeting Chris from the gym we grabbed a subway for lunch and sat down in the sunshine to eat it, I am definitely a sunshine girl.. Could easily emigrate to somewhere like Arizona in a heartbeat!!! After our lunch we went to Costa and had a coffee (Well Chris did, I had green tea with cranberry) out in the sun again, watched the world go by and saw this little beauty

They guy apparently hires it out for people to use as their wedding transport, how fabulous is that! 😀 
After that we went to the beach for a bit.. Has been one of the best, relaxing days in the sun for a while. 
 
My menu today was:
 
Breakfast: 2 Weetabix baked with golden syrup 4pp, 120ml Skimmed milk 1pp.
 
Lunch: Low fat Turkey and Ham subway with green peppers and onions with sweet onion sauce 8pp.
 
Dinner: Nume Cajun spiced chicken fettucine 11pp. 
 
Snacks: 2 Maria biscuits 1pp (These are a bit like rich tea biscuits, they are a substitute for Graham crackers that you see used in American recipes for cheesecake etc.. I plan on making a strawberry cheesecake on Saturday so will show you a pic of them then.) I bought them in the 99p shop you get 3 packs for that 99p so very worth it I think! 
 
Total used 25/26pp 🙂 
 
Tomorrow I am taking Cia for another long walk so plan on having a good breakfast and taking some filling and healthy foods to munch on to keep me full up so I am not starving when I get back this time! Much Love Gems 😀 
 

Another good loss this week.. And baked potatoes!

So I lost another 2.2lbs this week and that combined with my 2.8lb loss last week makes 5lbs in two weeks!! Clearly not having my cooker connected is helping with my weight loss, Hmm untapped market in the weight loss industry?? I think so! I have some reviews for you on some more of the Morisson Nume range which has replaced their eat smart range, The first one is Chicken tikka sandwich filler 2pp for up to 70g, Very yummy and filling probably the best one of the two I tried. The second one is Chicken fajita sandwich filler and again 2pp for up to 70g.. This one was ok but I’m more of a Tikka girl anyway but wanted to give it a try. You could use these in a variety of ways, obviously in a sandwich 😉 I used mine in wraps as I really don’t eat bread that much these days, You could use them as a filling for a jacket potato, mix them with some rice or cous cous.. the possibilities are endless I tell ye! I also tried some Nume cream cheese and black pepper multi grain crisps 25g pack 3pp.. I am in love with them, that is alll I have to say on it TRY THEM!! 😀 Today I decided to get a bit funky with my cereal as I have the same thing every day so I thought I’d spice it up a bit and make it pretty, I added a couple of drops of red food colouring and some vanilla essence but it did the trick…

All spunked up cereal!

I tend to use 120ml in my cereal and 30ml in my coffee.. This is the only milk I have all day, the rest of the time my coffee is black and I drink green tea and water lots of it! I have also been busy today applying for the foodie penpal scheme out there for bloggers and readers of blogs, Thank you to Vincente of http://vittlemonster.com/ and Lindsay from http://www.theleangreenbean.com for pointing me in the right direction to find out about it in the UK as it sounded fabulous! Breakfast: 35g Hot oat cereal 3pp, 150ml Skimmed milk 1pp.

Lunch: 2 Weight watchers tortilla wraps 5pp, 70g Nume Chicken tikka sandwich filler 2pp, 70g Nume chicken fajita sandwich filler 2pp, 60g Sliced mushrooms 0pp, Pack of Nume cream cheese and black pepper multi grain crisps 3pp.

Dinner: Jacket potato 185g 4pp, 200g Nume baked beans 4pp, 17g Extra light philadelphia 0pp, 60g Sliced mushrooms 0pp, 30g Co-op reduced fat grated cheddar 2pp, 1 Butter bud sachet 0pp.

Snacks: none, I haven’t been that hungry in all honesty I probably could have had one of those wraps for lunch instead of two as they were quite filling, well we live and we learn.

New weekly pro points in the bank as of today so will no doubt have a couple of drinks or more later on with Chris, I tend to use my weeklies all over the weekend or at least by Monday at the latest as I find if I spread them out through the week I either sts or gain. Think I’ve cracked it! :D

Hey everyone, so after my post (Moan!) yesterday I had breakfast this morning and voila I am lighter today even after breakfast, lunch and dinner! 😀 I have however got back ache, tummy ache and moodiness to match the medusa scorned right now (I hate totm) I feel exhausted so haven’t made it to the gym and it’s been raining all day not a great combination to get you smiling.. I did however have a lovely lunch that was so simple and tasted so much like comfort food it did make me smile 🙂 

Menu today:

Breakfast: 35g hot oat cereal 3pp, 200ml skimmed milk 2pp.

Lunch: 2 Weight watchers tortilla wraps 5pp, 60g sliced mushrooms cooked with a pinch of black pepper in microwave for 1 min opp, 30g extra light philadelphia mixed into cooked mushrooms 1pp, 1tsp mixed dried herbs 0pp and pinch of cayenne pepper 0pp, 4 slices of garlic sausage 2pp.

Dinner:  200g mash potato 4pp, 150g Nume baked beans 3pp, 50g wafer thin turkey 2pp, sprinkled with 1 sachet butter buds 0pp and  a pinch of garlic powder 0pp

Total used 21/26 daily pro points.

And looking out the window it’s finally stopped raining.. Hurrah! Things are looking up already.. Much Love Gems 😀 

 

Obsessed and a little annoyed!!

So I openly admit to being a little obsessed when it comes to weighing myself.. I do tend to stand on the scales more than twice a day.. A little crazy maybe but it seems to keep me on track most of the time, however yesterday and today I couldn’t seem to fathom it, why I am heavier even though I am 100% on track have not had any naughty food only the alcohol I drank on Sunday which was all within my weeklies and I have done more exercise already than last week??

I have now come to the conclusion after racking my brain over what I did differently that it is quite simple.. I haven’t had breakfast at all this week and looking back over my fitbit diary from last week I was having between 1200-1400 calories a day and this week so far yesterday I just scraped 1000, today 1100. I’m hoping that by eating breakfast for the rest of the week that this is what it is and I can bring it back because if not I am at a total loss as to what it could be! 

My menu today was: 

Breakfast: None=Bad! 

Lunch: 2 weightwatchers tortilla wraps 5pp, 6 slices Aldi garlic sausage 3pp, 40g co-op reduced fat grated cheese 3pp, sliced peppers and onions 0pp, 30g light salad cream 2pp.

Dinner: Nume Cajun spiced chicken fettucine 11pp

Snack: After c25k week 3 run 2 and a swim – Banana 0pp.
