Hellloooo lovely people, I know I went and left you for a whole 4 days.. Gosh you must have been lonely without me?! 😉 Well we had a fabulous weekend and we ate and drank far too much, in fact I was fairly surprised at how light my scales were telling me I was when we got back as I felt about 10lbs heavier!! Let me start by telling you I had a stay the same this week just gone on my weight loss journey.. I’m honestly not too hopeful for a loss this week either as I feel this weekend just past will catch up with me by then, although I have pledged to my self and our group on Facebook that I am going to swim everyday Mon-Fri this week. When we arrived in London we went for lunch at a pub called The London apprentice on the river in Isleworth near Richmond and I had a tomato, mozzarella and basil pesto sandwich which was amazing! I have to tell you about our karaoke at lucky voice in Soho, London on Friday night.. It was hilarious and a heck of a lot of fun, I had a jaeger bomb for the first time ever and have to say I love that drink in fact our bill showed £77 just for the jaeger bombs we all had in there, you literally press a button that says thirsty and someone pops their head in the door and then goes to fetch your drinks.. You don’t have to go wandering to the bar, so therefore you miss none of the fun! Here’s the link http://www.luckyvoice.com/ I urge you to check it out! Also on Friday evening after our session and drinking we went for dinner and I had Pizza of which I only ate a 3rd as 1) it was humongous for one person and 2) I was so full from drinking that I couldn’t eat it! Saturday afternoon for lunch we went to an all you can eat Brazilian restaurant in Bayswater, London. This was amazing food and I tried pretty much everything they brought round.. Including chicken hearts! Yes you heard me right chicken hearts, they were actually quite nice very small about an inch in width and length, I can’t really explain to you what they taste like as I didn’t think they had much flavour and they were seasoned with garlic, but they were nice and I will give anything a go once pretty much. 😉 After our all you can eat feast I was really bloated.. Don’t get me wrong it was lovely food but I am just not used to eating so much at all any more and I was actually in quite a lot of pain for a good 4-5 hours after that even the smell of food was making me feel sick 😦 Not so good when you are wandering around Camden market, however it did go down and I learned a lesson that I need to say no more often and listen to how full my body is, not just go for it as it’s all you can eat. That said check this place out, very good value and service, I was impressed http://www.rodiziorico.com/ Then on Sunday we went for brunch and I had a spaghetti carbonara, so safe to say I had a complete carbohydrate overload this weekend and honestly it made me feel sluggish and bloated so lesson learned I say even though we did a lot of walking! My menu today has been better and I am feeling more energetic today even if the weather has been plop, in fact I am off for my swim in a moment.. So menu:
Breakfast: 40g Jordans creamy porridge 4pp, 100ml Semi-skimmed milk 1pp, 100g of apple and blueberry puree 0pp.
Lunch: weight watchers tortilla wrap 3pp, 2 Richmond thin sausages and 2 rashers of Richmond bacon 6pp, 20g Tomato ketchup 1pp.
Dinner: 2 Richmond sausages and 2 rashers of bacon 6pp, 130g Nume baked beans 2pp, onion 0pp.
Snacks: Raw chocolate vanoffee dark bar 22g 3pp, Small handful frozen grapes 0pp.
So that’s me for the day hope… Hope you all had a fantastic weekend too?! What did you get up to? Did you visit any nice restaurants I should know about? 😉 Much love Gems. 😀
So tomorrow is weigh in day.. I am excited as the scales have been showing roughly a 1lb loss all week although today I feel heavy and bloated, It could be because I am tired but I hate that it makes me feel like I have to be nervous about my official weigh in! I also have had my daughter replaced by that of an alien or at least that’s what it feels like.. I always knew that once my daughter reached the teenage years that it was going to be hard but I feel helpless sometimes especially at that time of the month if you catch my drift.. She barely talks to me any more and I hate it I don’t know why she has suddenly turned into this alien that I feel like I barely know these days. It makes me stressed out and that leads me to my point, I am an emotional eater I know this and understand it I have read a lot about it and found out ways to curb this and I pretty much feel I have it under control nowadays, but Letitia being so stressed out this morning and banging around at 6am, cause I wouldn’t let her have the day of school as she “felt ill” made me stressed out today and that made me hungry.. I’m glad I sat down and thought about it because if I hadn’t I may have ended up having some sort of binge.. If I’m completely honest and it wasn’t weigh in day tomorrow I don’t think I would have had so much self control.. But I’m proud that I did and I hope it pays off and shows on the scales in the morning! So my menu today was:
Breakfast: 35g Hot oats 3pp, 120ml skimmed milk 1pp and 7g of honey 1pp.
Lunch: Microwave pizza home made:-Weight watchers tortilla wrap 3pp, 1Tbsp tomato puree 0pp, 1 mushroom sliced 0pp, 1 shallot sliced 0pp, 3 slices of garlic sausage chopped/ripped into pieces 1pp(If I’m honest I ate 1 and 1/2 slices and put 1&1/2 on the pizza) and 30g co-op reduced fat grated cheddar 2pp.
Dinner: 60g cous cous 2pp, 150g Nume piri piri chicken sandwich filler 5pp and a small sprinkling of parmasean cheese 0pp.
Snacks: 1 pack of whisps 3pp and 1 caramella sundae 4pp.
Total used 25/26!
Tomorrow I have my nephews 4th birthday party and we have friends coming round for dinner and drinks also.. So have a feeling my weeklies will be blown all in that one day :O Seeing as my cooker is still not connected and one of the friends we have coming over is vegetarian, I have opted and found a recipe to make a mushroom and leek risotto in my slow cooker I will post the recipe either tomorrow or Sunday and a pic of it too. I am off for my 3rd mile swim now and I can’t say in all honesty I am looking forward to it as I am very tired but I know once I am in there I will feel better and it will help reduce the stress I have been feeling today, Looking forward to letting you all know the result of my wi tomorrow. Much Love Gems. 😀
I am so happy even though I don’t have an android phone.. I have a blackberry lol, anyway the reason I am so excited is the weightwatchers app for android phones has finally landed and downloaded it to my sisters samsung galaxy note today to see what it was like and have a play around with it! The verdict I love it and when my phone upgrade is due in Jan I will be getting a galaxy note, not an I phone which I was going to get purely for the weightwatchers app, the only downside I have is that it doesn’t have the recipe builder on it… But then I guess if your cooking or baking you are more than likely going to be at home or somewhere near a connection to the internet so it’s not that much of a downside for me. I have heard some of my friends on a facebook group for ww support that I am in, cannot download the app.. I struggled to find it in the google play market also.. So I just searched google and found the link to download it! Also today for dinner I had the weight watchers alfredo bolognaise.. And I have to say I wasn’t that keen it really didn’t have much flavour at all, I was quite disappointed as bolognaise is one of my favourite meals! I’m still not feeling 100% but I did manage to get up to my sister’s and bake a cake for my nephew’s 4th Birthday tomorrow and walk Cia.. We are having a party for him on Sat so be prepared to be bombarded with pictures of all my niece’s and nephew’s 😀 So my menu today was:
Breakfast: 35g hot oats 3pp, 120ml Skimmed milk 1pp, 10g Dark chocolate drops 1pp and 15g Whole earth natural peanut butter 2pp.
Lunch: weightwatchers tortilla wrap 3pp, 3 slices garlic sausage 1pp, 1 Mushroom sliced, 75g Nume chicken tikka sandwich filler 2pp and 1 tomato 1pp.
Dinner: Weightwatchers alfredo bolognaise 9pp.
Snacks: 1 pack whisps 3pp, 2 maria biscuits 1pp.
Total used 26/26 and scales looking mighty fine this morning!

Today I have done nothing except pop to the shop and back and it has been lovely just chilling indoors watching some tv and browsing the web for recipes, I always find myself doing this when I have time on my hands.. I have about 200 bookmarked blogs and recipe websites on my laptop! In fact whilst browsing this is where I found my dinner for tonight, as I still do not have my cooker connected I thought I would search for some microwave recipes which were suitable for weightwatchers and found one that is perfect for me as it uses tortilla wraps… which as everyone who reads my blog will have worked out by now that I am slightly addicted to 😉 Recipe is here at http://www.weightwatchers.com/util/art/index_art.aspx?tabnum=1&art_id=78521&sc=3022
It’s called a Quesadilla.. Ooohhh exotic I hear you say! I changed the recipe slightly to my tastes and to make it a bit more filling here’s the recipe I made:Ingredients: 2 weightwatchers tortilla wraps 5pp 25g low low red pepper and chilli cheese spread 1pp 1 mini pepper sliced 0pp 1 medium mushroom sliced 0pp 45g hot tomato salsa 0pp 50g Bernard matthews tikka turkey 1pp 25g Co-op reduced fat grated cheddar 2pp Method: Spread 1 wrap with the low low cheese spread, then the other with the salsa. Add the sliced vegetables and turkey too the one with the salsa on and then add the grated cheese last, season to taste then place the other tortilla on top of it and microwave for 1 minute on high. Voila a lovely filling Quesadilla in minimal amount of time and only 9pp! So my menu today was: Breakfast: A banana and frozen mixed berry smoothie made with 200ml skimmed milk 2pp, Topped with a sprinkling of hot chocolate 0pp. Lunch: weightwatchers tortilla wrap 3pp, 50g Quorn ham style slices 2pp, 1 dairy lea light cheese triangle 1pp, Mini pepper sliced 0pp, 15g Light salad cream 1pp. Dinner: Home made Quesadilla 9pp (Recipe above) Snacks: Tesco caramella sundae 4pp So total used 22/26pp Weigh in tomorrow am expecting a gain or a stay the same at least.. I have done nothing different this week apart from use my weeklies later in the week and do more exercise , which you would think was a good thing Anyhow the scales have not been looking kind the last few days but this is something of a routine for me I seem to have a couple of good losses, then either a sts/gain so I am not too worried I know I have eaten well and sometimes the body just does thing like this to us! Good luck to everyone on a new week! Much love Gems 😀
So tomorrow is wi day and I’m really looking forward to it as the scales have been showing some pretty nice numbers since I started eating my breakfast again! 😀 I went for a nice wander down the seafront today as I saw a pic on facebook of a philadelphia stand down there giving away choccy treats mmm yummy! I had 5 small bites when I say small I mean like 1″ size so I pointed them at 6pp, which I think is more than fair. My menu today was:
Breakfast: The usual.. 35g Hot oat cereal 3pp, 150ml skimmed milk 1pp.
Lunch: I marinaded a pack of that bernard mathhews turkey chunks 3pp in 2 tbsp lime juice 0pp and 1/4 tsp each of garam masala, garlic powder, cumin, ginger, cayenne, paprika, black pepper 0pp, then mixed that with 60g cooked cous cous 2pp and some sliced mushrooms 0pp.
Dinner: Nume Spicy piri piri chicken bake… Beware and always check the pp as this says 9pp on the pack but actually worked out at 10pp!!
Snacks: 5 mini choc philly bites 6pp, Banana maybe if I’m peckish?! 😉
Total used 25/26!

Anyhow am in quite a happy mood today even if it is the dreaded totm.. Strange what stepping on the scales can do for your mood, I am almost 100% certain now that it is breakfast that is key for me with this weight loss malarchy as today I have been light again! I have also just spent a small fortune for O/H birthday in Sept.. We are going to our friends in London for the weekend following his birthday, So I have booked a surprise karaoke session at the Lucky voice venue in Soho for the four of us and we get a free round of shots as it’s a birthday.. Anywho that’s me for another day and hope everyone else is doing well too and my blog is helping with some inspiration for something.. anything lol! Much Love Gems 😀
So I openly admit to being a little obsessed when it comes to weighing myself.. I do tend to stand on the scales more than twice a day.. A little crazy maybe but it seems to keep me on track most of the time, however yesterday and today I couldn’t seem to fathom it, why I am heavier even though I am 100% on track have not had any naughty food only the alcohol I drank on Sunday which was all within my weeklies and I have done more exercise already than last week??
I have now come to the conclusion after racking my brain over what I did differently that it is quite simple.. I haven’t had breakfast at all this week and looking back over my fitbit diary from last week I was having between 1200-1400 calories a day and this week so far yesterday I just scraped 1000, today 1100. I’m hoping that by eating breakfast for the rest of the week that this is what it is and I can bring it back because if not I am at a total loss as to what it could be!
My menu today was:
Lunch: 2 weightwatchers tortilla wraps 5pp, 6 slices Aldi garlic sausage 3pp, 40g co-op reduced fat grated cheese 3pp, sliced peppers and onions 0pp, 30g light salad cream 2pp.
Dinner: Nume Cajun spiced chicken fettucine 11pp
Snack: After c25k week 3 run 2 and a swim – Banana 0pp.
Hopefully I’ll have a loss to report this week.. come Sat! Take care all Much love Gems 😀
